Inside Voices Ensemble’s mission is to celebrate the power of storytelling by presenting concert readings of the finest works of contemporary playwrights. Through high quality, actor-driven
performances, we strive to engage, inspire, and challenge our community, fostering a deeper appreciation for the dramatic arts and the voices of extraordinary writers.
We envision a vibrant community of Temecula Valley audiences and artists united by the transformative power of theater, where the artistry sparks dialogue, connection, and understanding. Through our work, we
aim to elevate the voices of today’s playwrights while nurturing a culture that values collaboration, creativity, and the enduring impact of live performance.
We bring comedic and dramatic fiction written for the stage to the Temecula community in a concert reading format.
Actors read rehearsed roles from scripts on stage giving voice to words on pages.

Collene Torres (Producing Director/Actor) started Inside Voices Acting Ensemble to collaborate with like-minded professional and community thespians in greater Temecula (while keeping her day job as a CPA). She made her Temecula stage debut with The Bard Goes to Broadway, playing Brutus in a scene from Julius Caesar, Leonata in Much Ado About Nothing, and Lady M in a killer rendition of Cell Block Tango. Collene played Bella in “The Sound Inside” and Gayle in “Almost, Maine” for Inside Voices Ensemble’s inaugural concert reading series. She is also a proud member of Temecula’s Pseudo Random Noise improv troupe.
Torres produced regional theatre for seven years at Penobscot Theatre in Bangor, Maine, where she was involved in bringing over 60 productions to the stage. She has directed productions of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “Henry IV, Part One,” as well as “The Nerd” by Larry Shue and “Charlotte’s Web” by Joseph Robinette.
Torres has played several major Shakespearean roles, favorites of which include Rosalind and Imogen at Maine Shakespeare Festival and Iago at Wellesley College's Shakespeare Society. Contemporary roles have included Sarah Goodwin in Donald Margulies' "Time Stands Still" and Rosemary Muldoon in John Patrick Shanley's "Outside Mullingar" with The Town Players of New Canaan.
